Meet Jean Jordan, SVP Regional Feedstock Sourcing: A Nexus Circular Trailblazer

Nexus Circular thrives thanks to the extraordinary individuals who embody the ethos of innovation and sustainability. In this spotlight, we showcase Jean’s unwavering dedication, her commitment to making a difference, and how her focus on cultivating relationships was instrumental in advancing Nexus  Circular.

Embracing Challenges and Driven by Purpose

As one of the original team members, Jean fondly recalls her early days at Nexus where she embraced a  multitude of roles that touched many different facets of the organization. Her journey has been an expedition of perpetual learning and advancement, buoyed by the shared trust among colleagues to explore new horizons and contribute significantly to the company’s growth trajectory.

Overcoming hurdles that ranged from navigating regulatory issues to recruiting suitable personnel in a  pioneering environment was no small feat. Her pivotal achievement of obtaining the EPA’s pre-manufacture notice enabled Nexus to sell its products as well as provide a roadmap and essential guidance for other early-stage companies navigating similar processes.

Cultivating Relationships and Fostering Sustainability

Jean’s fervor for sustainability and education radiates through her work at Nexus. She acknowledges the inherent challenges of reshaping the landscape of post-use plastic management into a realm of sustainable innovation. Yet, Jean’s approach emphasizes the significance of cultivating relationships and fostering connections to surmount these challenges.

“The strength of our relationships has propelled us to where we stand today and has enabled us  to sourcing used plastic from a diverse range of suppliers in the region.”

She revels in the opportunity to engage with feedstock suppliers, sharing how Nexus’ mission also supports their own sustainability pursuits. Jean’s enthusiasm extends to conducting waste audits,  assisting suppliers in identifying recyclable materials, and offering insights into the broader impact of recycling initiatives.

“Engaging with new partners and discussing the ways Nexus can align with their sustainability goals is truly fulfilling,” she expresses.

Imparting Wisdom and a Glimpse Ahead

Her commitment to education and advocacy underscores Nexus’ ongoing dedication to catalyzing circularity for the prosperity of people and the planet. Jean’s advice resonates with her holistic understanding of Nexus’ multifaceted operations. “Comprehending and leveraging the  interconnectedness of our work is crucial for Nexus’ overall success.”

Together, we create a future where plastic resources are conserved, and positive transformation is driven by individuals like Jean.
